- January 7 - Rosemary has tests at the Mayo
Clinic to determine what the "shadow" is on her
lung
- January 9 - Rosemary is told she has lung cancer
- January 10 or 11 - Rosemary has cancerous upper lobe
of her left lung removed - Dante, Monsita, Maria and Allen Sviridoff
are with her and Nick arrives from Hawaii after she awakens
(she remains hospitalized at Mayo Clinic for
over 4 months)
- February 27 - Is awarded the Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award.
She's unable to attend the ceremonies, her son Miguel accepts the
award on her behalf
- March 22 - Nick and Nina visit with Rosemary in Rochester,
MN
- March 23 - Rosemary had been
scheduled to perform at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center
in Long Beach, CA
- May 3 - Returns to Beverly Hills to spend Mother's Day and her
birthday with her family
- May 5-6 - Nick and Nina visit with Rosemary in Beverly
Hills
- In Early June is given the news that the cancer has returned and
she begins to make peace with dying
- June 28 - Rosemary had been
scheduled to perform with John Pizzarelli at the Detroit
Opera House
- June 29 - At about 6 p.m. Rosemary
is called home
to heaven (dies in her bed at her home on Roxbury)
- July 3 - An Evening Rosary at
